Night.Mote was a precursor of FourSquare. Night.Mote's Facebook app would give people real-time info on their local night life, through laptops, desktops and mobile devices. A mote is a speck in the universe — or, metaphorically, a friend who shares information. Universes were: MountainMote, BikeMote, ShopMote, etc. Through mote "friends" one gets a peak at desired universes. The Map interface is the heart of the experience, informing through refined information design (icons' size, translucency, state) plus other filters. I did extensive Information Architecture and Design Strategy work on this, as well as art direction/graphic design for Icon/Logo/App UI Design, Flash Demos, and Desktop Site Design.
